OUR Management

A sustainable
co-management structure

The FAIME Database is overseen by MiningWatch Canada, the FAIME Host Organization (FHO), in collaboration with a two-tiered management structure composed of a FAIME Management Committee (FMC) and a FAIME Advisory Committee (FAC). The FHO manages and maintains the FAIME Database and provides and ensures fiduciary oversight, financial administration, grants management, HR Management, and legal compliance. The FAIME Manager (FM) is hired by the FHO in consultation with the FMC and FAC.
The FAIME Management Committee is composed of eight voting members and alternates, 38% women, 25% Indigenous, and 50% from non-European descent. FAIME’s Advisory Committee is broader in composition and also seeks to include geographical, gender, Indigenous, community, and organizational diversity. Most individuals on these committees are from mining affected communities, or are working with such communities. FAIME offers honoraria for those in need to support their participation.
